Jamboree
http://www.jamboreehousing.comJamboree's mission is to strengthen California's communities by creating opportunities for lower income families, seniors and those with special needs, to access housing that is affordable, with resident services that are responsive, and programs that are essential to improving the quality of their lives. Jamboree’s Resident Services Group is about “people” – connecting, developing and empowering the residents who call a Jamboree community home. Realizing the vital link between housing and resident services, Housing with HEART was created in 2001 as Jamboree’s in-house provider of resident services. Since that time, Jamboree’s portfolio of housing communities has grown to include residents with special needs, seniors who were “aging in place,” adults recovering from mental illness, and families who had experienced homelessness. To best meet the needs of these community members, in September 2010 Jamboree formed an affiliation with HOMES, Inc., a community-based organization that has successfully provided housing and services for special needs populations for more than 25 years. With the combined expertise of Housing with HEART and HOMES, Inc., Jamboree’s Resident Services Group now provides supportive services at over 27 multi-family housing sites and six shared living homes in communities located throughout California. The Housing with HEART programs continue to strengthen families and communities by focusing on the health and academic achievement of youth while the HOMES, Inc. housing and programs provide an enhanced level of services to residents with special needs, including adults with severe and persistent mental illness, emancipated foster youth and the previously homeless.
