The ethnic distribution is 35% African American; 30% Hispanic; 25% Caucasian; 8% Asian/Pacific Islander; and 2% Other. The school also operates a range of programs for students with special educational needs, including a GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) program for grades 2 through 5, an English Learner Program, and special education programs for learning disabled, severely handicapped, and other special needs children
