Opportunity Details
Earth Day Project - Morrison Creek (Franklin) - 350 Sacramento
Morrison Creek is an important tributary of the Sacramento River and part of the Sacramento flood control system. At one time, it was also a fish migration route. By restoring some of the natural habitat, the project sets the stage for the possibility of native fish to return to Morrison Creek and reestablishes fish passage to the Sacramento River.
This location will be lead by the 350 Sacramento group. Volunteers who choose to work at the Morrison Creek (Franklin) project will meet their "Team Leads" at 7304 Franklin Blvd to collect their PPE and equipment at 10:30 AM.
Once you sign up for the event, the volunteer coordinator will contact you to fill out a waiver and collect your t-shirt size if you would like a free shirt donated by the 2020 CreekWeek event.
For any questions regarding the Earth Day event, email Emily McGuire at: EMcGuire@CityofSacramento.org
