IN A DISASTER: DO NOT SELF-DEPLOY!
Please do not go to the scene of the emergency/disaster.
Stay safe at home, with family/friends, or at work.
Unexpected volunteers interfere with initial response and assessment efforts.
You could unintentionally place yourself or others at greater risk.
Volunteers will be needed most during the long-term recovery phase of the event.
In the event of a disaster, please be patient and wait until community-based organizations are ready to utilize your assistance.
